When we sin we can almost forget about great failures as the years roll by. And that can be a great false source of comfort for people like us. What happens to habits of compromise that once felt glaringly wicked but now donít hurt anymore? Our sense of guilt can fade, leaving us almost comfortable with transgressions. Because they no longer feel bad, they canít be that bad.
